Hi guys! This Summer, I signed up for AmeriCamp and headed to America for my Summer of a Life; nothing could’ve prepared me for what I was about to experience! In fact, my Summer was so enjoyable, when I came home, I decided to write a contribution for the Summer camp in America Reviews.
I’d wanted to sign up for AmeriCamp for AGES! America has always been a country that has fascinated me – it was such a memorable experience and I’m already planning my second visit; I honestly can’t find the words to describe how amazing the program is! I enjoyed every minute of my time at AmeriCamp – it was truly mesmerising. I’ve left with a range of new skills, lovely new friends and a newfound confidence that has led me to look at more travel options.
Whilst at camp, all food was included and it is delicious! There are no costs for accommodation fees either, so this helps when saving up funds to contribute towards a memorable post-camp trip!
After camp, me and my fellow campmates set off on a journey throughout the States and I had an absolute ball! The New York After Party was a brilliant opportunity to experience the Big Apple with a group who you’re familiar with and the itinerary was spot on – the AmeriCamp Representatives did everything that they could to make the visit extra special.
AmeriCamp is a phenomenal opportunity to work alongside young people and has given me food for thought in terms of what I would like to focus on for a career. Prior to arriving, I wanted to work with children, but admittedly I lacked confidence. At camp, I gained a range of fantastic skills. For instance, I learned how to keep the children focused during a session, whilst teaching different abilities.
