Today we are taking a trip to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma! One of two state capitols with the State in the name, do you know the other one?
The Oklahoma City National Memorial commemorates the lives lost to the Oklahoma City bombing on April 16th, 1995. A solemn landmark, it is worth a visit to read about the heroes who did everything they can to help, and the victims who sadly lost their lives. It has many stories to discover, and is well worth a visit if you are in Oklahoma City.
If you’re looking for more local attractions, the Myriad Botanical Gardens (Pictured) includes parks, fountains, a marriage conservatory, live bands and even a range of classes! If you’re heading to OKC it’s definitely worth looking up to see if could be making chocolate on your trip!! If you’re more into spectating than participating, head to the Chesapeake Arena, the home to the Oklahoma City Thunder! If they’re not playing you might also catch a WWE event!
If you’re thrill seeker why not go to Frontier City, with over 50 rides this is an amusement park to visit! Face your fears on Brain Drain the several stories high rollercoaster is one to get your adrenaline pumping! If rollercoasters aren’t your cup of tea why it take a trip to White Water Bay and splash around! This huge water park has slide rides, rafts and more with the main attraction being the 277 foot long speedslide! After all that fun head over to Slaughter’ s Hall Bar and Grill for locally sourced food and a variety of beverages to refresh everyone with over 30 types of draft beer and over 60 bottled beers!
