On April 9, we had the incredible opportunity to attend the annual SCOPE (Summer Camp Opportunities Promote Education) Benefit at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City. We were thrilled to invite two of the summer camps we partner with, Girl Scouts Camp Kaufman and Hands in 4 Youth Vacamas Camp - both proud recipients of SCOPE camperships - to join us for this special evening.
The highlight of the night was celebrating the honorees, each representing camps we work closely with. It was amazing to see them recognized for the impact they make.
SCOPE is an incredible organization that provides life-changing summer camp scholarships for kids and teens from under-resourced communities. As a partner committed to cultural exchange, we’re proud to support programs that introduce young people to diverse individuals, new languages, and different cultures.

This was our first time attending a SCOPE event, and it truly exceeded all expectations. The energy in the room, the powerful and emotional stories shared, and the collective commitment to the mission made for an inspiring and unforgettable night.
One of the most moving moments was when Dane, a SCOPE recipient, shared his story:
“Camp is like food for my spirit that helps keep me going in the right direction. I plan for camp the entire year. I look forward to it, think about who I’ll meet and what adventures we’ll have: hiking, boating, climbing, exploring the pond and making candles. All year, I count down the weeks until I’m back in the mountains, living in a cabin and having fun with other kids. So I thank you—for my summers at camp, and for all the other kids who can go to camp and find their happy places because of your support.”
From the cocktail hour to the after party, it was an evening filled with celebration, reflection, and inspiration. We’re so grateful to SCOPE for the incredible work they do, and honored to be a part of their mission—changing lives through the power of camp.
