The North Carolina Museum of Art opened in 1956 and holds Egyptian, African, Contempory, European and American art! Get back in touch with the outdoors and visit Pullen Park the park opened in 1887 and is home to an arts center, cafe, outdoor theatre, aquatic center, amusement arcades and more! Relax and have a picnic admiring the scenery… a day well spent! Shop til you drop in the triangle center with all the major stores this is the best place to shop in the city of Raleigh! Don’t leave the city without seeing the Mordecai House first though! The oldest house in the city, built in 1785 it’s well worth a visit to see a glimpse of America in the past
